This 7-day tour focuses on the Central Plains during the peak of tornado season, offering a front-row seat to some of the most dramatic weather events on the planet. Based in Kansas City, MO, you will chase storms across a wide region, ensuring the best opportunities to intercept powerful storm systems. Each day brings a new adventure as developing storm systems are tracked and positions are set for the best intercepts. Enjoy the comfort and safety of small groups (no more than 7 guests) with guaranteed window seats. An experienced guide will ensure you have an educational and thrilling experience, highlighting the science behind the storms and the beauty of the chase. Learn about meteorology, storm formation, forecasting techniques, and how to spot different types of clouds and weather phenomena. We aim to witness exciting weather events, including hail, wall clouds, shelf clouds, lightning displays, supercell thunderstorms, tornadoes, and much more. We strive to get as close to the action as possible while prioritizing safety.

Book Your Own Lodging (Budget-Friendly Option):
You’ll take care of your own hotel arrangements each evening. We provide the overnight location in advance (usually by early evening), and you’ll pick any property within about 5 miles. This budget-friendly approach is great for using points or finding deals that suit you best.
Lodging-Included Upgrade ($3,200):
If you prefer a tour that includes accommodations, look for the lodging-included version of “Peak Season Storm Trek” on our tours page. It covers 7 nights total (including May 13 through the night of May 20), with a $250 shared-room discount if you share.
