1. Introduction

1.1 Company & Scope
Storm Quest Tours, LLC (“Company”) provides guided storm-chasing tours. By booking a tour, you (“guest,” “participant”) agree to the terms and conditions (“T&C”) set forth below.

1.2 Eligibility

No one under 16 is permitted on our tours.
Participants aged 16 or 17 must be accompanied by a 21-year-old or older guardian who also agrees to these T&C.

1.3 Waiver Requirement
All participants must review and sign the Company’s Liability Waiver (including the Medical Information & Consent Form and Code of Conduct) prior to the tour’s departure. Failure to sign these documents will result in cancellation of your participation without refund.

2. Reservations & Payments

2.1 Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. This deposit applies toward your total tour price.

2.2 Balance Payment
The remaining balance is due by March 1 (unless otherwise specified). If the balance is not received by this deadline, Storm Quest Tours, LLC reserves the right to cancel your booking without refund of any amounts paid.

2.3 Full Payment Option
You may choose to pay your entire tour cost upfront. If you cancel before March 1, all payments except the $500 deposit may be refunded, as per the cancellation policy in Section 3.1.

2.4 Payment Methods
Acceptable payment methods include credit cards, debit cards, or other forms detailed on our website or booking platform.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

3.1 Cancellation by You

Before March 1: You will receive a refund of any payments made, minus the non-refundable $500 deposit.
On or After March 1: No refunds will be issued.
No-shows or Early Departures: Leaving the tour early is considered a cancellation without refund.

3.2 Cancellation by Storm Quest Tours, LLC
The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a tour due to low enrollment, extreme weather (making travel impossible), or other unforeseen events. If the Company cancels prior to the tour’s start, you will receive a full refund of payments, including your deposit.

3.3 Travel Insurance
The Company strongly recommends purchasing travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations or emergencies.

4. Tour Itineraries & Weather

4.1 Flexible Itineraries
Storm chasing depends on real-time weather conditions. The Company may alter or cancel daily routes based on meteorological data or safety concerns.

4.2 Down Days & Alternate Activities
If there is a lull in storm activity, the Company will relocate to the next area where severe weather is forecast. If this lull occurs near the end of the tour, participants may return to the base city, and optional local attractions may be explored if time allows.

4.3 No Guarantee of Specific Weather Events
While the Company aims to position participants in areas with the highest likelihood of severe weather, no specific weather phenomena (e.g., tornadoes) can be guaranteed.

5. Tornado-Warned Storm Guarantee

5.1 Definition
A “tornado-warned storm” is a storm under an active tornado warning issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) while the Company is chasing it and can visually confirm it.

5.2 Guarantee
If no visually intercepted tornado-warned storm occurs during the tour, each paid participant will receive a $200 discount on a future booking with Storm Quest Tours, LLC.

5.3 Redemption & Validity

The discount must be used within 12 months of the tour’s conclusion.
Discounts cannot be combined with other promotions unless explicitly stated.
Discounts apply per participant and can be redeemed on individual bookings.

6. Safety & Liability

6.1 Safety First
Storm chasing involves inherent risks, including severe weather, hail, lightning, strong winds, flying debris, and remote travel. By joining a tour, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

6.2 Compliance
Participants must follow all instructions from Storm Quest Tours, LLC guides and staff. Noncompliance may result in removal from the tour without refund.

6.3 Liability Waiver
All participants must sign the Company’s Liability Waiver (see Appendix) prior to departure. Failure to sign will result in cancellation without refund.

6.4 Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Storm Quest Tours, LLC is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage you may suffer during the tour, including actions arising from negligence.

7. Photography & Media Release

7.1 Photo/Video Content
The Company may photograph or film parts of the tour for promotional purposes. By participating, you grant Storm Quest Tours, LLC permission to use such media without additional compensation.

7.2 Opt-Out Option
Participants who prefer not to be filmed or photographed must notify the Company before the tour begins. Reasonable accommodations will be made, but incidental appearances in group media cannot be guaranteed.

8. Force Majeure

Storm Quest Tours, LLC is not responsible for failure or delay in providing services due to circumstances beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, war, government restrictions).

9. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

10. Changes to These Terms

Storm Quest Tours, LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Material changes will be posted on the Company’s website or communicated directly to participants with existing bookings.
