About Me
Welcome! I’m Arriel Elizur, and I’ve been chasing storms for over 15 years. My passion for weather started when I was a young child growing up in South Florida. Witnessing storms form every afternoon during the rainy season, as well as experiencing hurricanes and tropical storms, sparked my lifelong interest in weather.
Storm chasing isn’t just a hobby for me—it’s a lifelong passion. Through years of dedicated study and hands-on experience, I’ve gained extensive knowledge in meteorology and severe weather patterns. I’ve witnessed more tornadoes than I can count, each one fueling my enthusiasm and dedication to understanding and sharing the wonders of severe weather. I love teaching others about the power and beauty of storms, and I strive to make complex weather phenomena easy to understand for beginners.
I currently live in the Minneapolis metro area of Minnesota. When I’m not chasing storms, I indulge my love of travel, having visited many countries around the globe and enjoying adventures such as cruising. These experiences keep me connected to nature and inspire my storm chasing pursuits.
In addition to storm chasing, I run a storm chasing Facebook group called “Minnesota Storm Chasers” and have a Facebook page called “Arriel’s Weather Watch”. Through these platforms, I share weather updates, storm chasing stories, and educational content to engage with fellow weather enthusiasts.
